SSHSAA School Updates

March 3, 2014, marked the day of rejoicing for the school. Honors and victories won exalted the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Threefold celebration was held giving the highest glory to God and due recognition to the Stephenians who established a name for themselves in their own fields of excellence. The school Board of Trustees and Alumni Association Officers graced the celebration.

In the field of Arts, the school celebrates the triumph of our very own Jamia Mei Tolentino of 9th Grade has achieved during the On the Spot Postage Stamp Design Valentine’s Day Pinoy Style competition entitled, “Mahal Kita” sponsored by Philpost. This is the 3rd time that our students’ designs are made into Postage Stamps. The winning art work was featured among the stamps for the Valentine’s Day celebration. Unveiling and Awarding of the cash prize, souvenir frames and Certificate of Recognition was done at the Auditorium with Mr. Luis Carlos, Asst. Postmaster General for Marketing and Business Development, Ms. Elenita San Diego, Philatelic Division Manager, Bishop Dixie Taclobao, Chairman of SSHS Board of Trustees together with our hardworking school director Mrs. Marianne Y. Tan. Signing of the Official First Day Cover followed after.

As envisioned by the school to become a school after God’s heart, SSHS pushed on producing excellent learners in almost all fields so this day, the Stephenian Achievers are honored together with their parents who supported them all the way.

For the 2nd time, our school was represented and honored in the ‘Ani ng Dangal’ sponsored by Republic of the Philippines under the Office of the President, National Commission for Cultures and Arts. On this year’s 6th ‘Ani ng Dangal’, Trisha Co Reyes and Jamia Mei Tolentino of 9th Grade have again achieved the highest level of artistic excellence in visual arts. They are recognized for the honor they brought to the country and the school.

The school, having a strong curriculum has already made a name in the area of Science and Math. This academic year 2013-2014, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) awarded fourteen (14) of the Stephenians the Youth Excellence in Science (YES) Award; seven from Elementary and seven (7) from High School.
